Matthew Scott, Founder & Managing Partner

Matthew Scott (TwitterLinkedIn) provides cloud computing and strategic business development expertise to software companies.

Matthew was the initial North and South American sales leader for Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2010 and 2011. He built a highly specialized sales team responsible for the majority of annual sales globally at Amazon Web Services. Matthew created the Named, Mid-Market and Territory sales model still in use by AWS today.

He saw an opportunity to grow businesses focused on helping clients and partners achieve success from both a commercial and technical approach. Matthew founded Options I/O Cloud Marketplace in December, 2011 and in 2015, Matthew merged Options I/O with DualSpark (Geekwire).

Matthew ran worldwide sales and alliances across the major public clouds and partners for DualSpark after the merger. DualSpark was later acquired by Datapipe (Fortune) and Matthew ran public cloud and professional services sales and strategy for Datapipe globally. Datapipe was acquired by Rackspace in 2017 (TechCrunch). Matthew joined Cloudability in 2017 as VP, Strategy & Partnerships and has grown Cloudability into one of the top performing software companies on the AWS Marketplace.

From 2005-2010, Matthew was VP of Technical Sales & Support at NetMotion, a mobile software company acquired by private equity. At NetMotion he led the customer-facing technical sales team, client success team and the customer support globally. Before NetMotion, he held senior engineering roles at Level 3 Communications and Sprint where he worked with some of the largest clients of networking & data center services in the world.

Matthew has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Colorado State University. He has achieved and maintained numerous cloud, networking, security and software certifications.
